01Liquid & chemistry
Composition, concentration, viscosity and cleaning chemicals.
Polypropylene yarn wound around a perforated support core for depth filtration of water and compatible process liquids. Select the nominal grade, core and cartridge dimensions around your process.
Choose the filtration medium and support structure as one wetted assembly.
Explore the yarn pack, support core and plain open ends. The cutaway shows the stainless steel core option.
Overlapping yarn courses form the filtration wall. Liquid passes from the outside through the yarn pack toward the central core.

Reference options for selecting the grade, support core and installation format.
| Filter medium | Polypropylene (PP) yarn |
|---|---|
| Construction | Cross-wound depth media on a perforated support core |
| Nominal grade options | 1, 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100 μm |
| Retention basis | Nominal particulate filtration; compare the grade together with its retention efficiency and test method |
| Flow direction | Outside to inside, toward the central collection bore |
| Nominal lengths | 10, 20, 30 and 40 inches |
|---|---|
| Reference outside diameter | 60 mm |
| Bore diameter options | 28 or 30 mm; match the housing center post |
| Support core options | Polypropylene or stainless steel |
| Standard end format | Plain double-open ends (DOE) |
| Other dimensions & end fittings | Define overall length, diameter and end arrangement from the housing or an existing sample |
| Temperature reference | Up to 60°C for the PP-yarn construction, subject to liquid and assembly suitability |
|---|---|
| Differential pressure | Select the allowable limit for the yarn pack, core, temperature and housing support |
| Required flow | Size length and element quantity using clean-element pressure drop and the actual liquid viscosity |
| Wetted materials | Review PP yarn, the selected core and any housing seals against liquid chemistry and cleaning conditions |

Compare actual dimensions and both end faces with the existing cartridge and housing.

L is the overall installed length, D the outside diameter and d the bore diameter. Plain double-open ends require the matching housing seat and compression arrangement. Share a drawing or sample when matching an existing installation.
Four details connect the filtration task with the cartridge configuration.
Composition, concentration, viscosity and cleaning chemicals.
Particle size, loading and requirements of the next process stage.
Required flow, temperature, pressure and continuous or batch operation.
Actual length, outer and bore diameters, end faces and housing photographs.
Particulate filtration tasks where the PP yarn, core and installation fit are selected together.

Suspended-particle removal within a wider pretreatment train ahead of downstream membranes.

Reduce particulate loading in compatible process liquids before finer filtration or equipment.

Particle control in compatible cleaning and rinse fluids before reuse or the next stage.

Share the liquid, particle-removal target and existing housing details. We can work through the PP yarn grade, core and cartridge dimensions together.
